This year was a little hectic trying to fit swim lessons into our schedule. We really wanted Alyssa to do it again, but she only had a little while to do it, since they moved. (Boo.) And so... we had to opt to have our lessons before school even got out! It worked out well, though, and the kids are improving on their swimming skills. Braeden is still swimming like a shark, sometimes... moving his entire body, rather than keeping it straight and kicking with straight legs, but he can go a LONG way when he's focused on doing it. Plus, he can now float on his back for quite some time before he sinks! (He's just like his daddy and Gpa Mike... they have no pores in their bones, I'm almost positive, because regardless of how much air they suck in, they SINK like anchors.)
Lexi is learning how to take a breath to the side during her strokes... something that is very hard for little ones, but she's getting it. She would rather just go under and swim like a fish, though, any day! And she's FAST! Even Damian can't stay very much ahead of her anymore!
Glub... glub... we're growing fins and gills around here!

But they did a great job and learned a lot again! Thanks, Alyssa! We sure miss you and your family!
And thankfully we have a heated pool year 'round, so we can head over any time we have a short break in our schedule! (Which isn't often enough!)

Three Little Fishies, swimming in a pool....sounds like the beginning of a cute little story, eh? Take it away, Tandy! And the balloon glow photos were great! I've never been to the "glow" here. The one time I tried, there was way too much wind, so no balloons, just flames. Boring. But Mike and I watched the launch on Saturday a.m. Fun stuff! Thanks for keeping up all the updates. They are WONDERFUL!!
