The holidays are really a very busy time... for everyone! As you can see here, Ella is doing something my body had been SCREAMING for, but I couldn't give in! Just too much to be done... and not enough time! Sound familiar!??!
We were trying to get ready to go... somewhere, and this is what I found! Poor thing. With her backpack on and everything! She's in the office... on the floor, leaned up against all the laundry that needs to be put away.
| She's OUT! And OUT went our plans! Oh, well! This made me smile! |

| Aren't these the CUTEST cupcakes you have EVER seen?? One of my friends brought them to us for Christmas! {THANK YOU AGAIN!!} We LOVED them, but it was so hard to eat something that was so cute! I just may be copying these Rudolph cupcakes... they're just too hard to resist! ;o) |

| So... every once in a while I totally forget my camera. Braeden also had a holiday show, and it was so cute (minus the large grease stain on his tie from spilling just before the show), but... we got there and I didn't have the camera with me. Boo. But Lexi also had a show the same day as Braeden's Polar Express day (which you'll see below) and it was great! |
| She's so silly... and camera shy when it comes to me taking pictures at school! Love the hat! |
| Singing her heart out with all her classmates and friends! It was the whole 2nd grade performing traditional holiday songs. |
| HILARIOUS! (Both Lexi and Braeden had a song that required sunglasses!) |
| She's covered by RED and GREEN! |
| Lexi with her friends Ella on the Carly in the middle. They are twins in her class. |

Same day, different part of the school! It's a tradition for the kids in Kindergarten to get to wear their pj's to school on the last day before Christmas break and do the Polar Express! They love it, and it's WILD, but full of laughter and joy for the WHOLE day! They have to prepare by making a train car out of a box at home the couple of weeks before... (Braeden wasn't as IN to it as Lexi was a couple of years ago! But... he got it done... FINALLY!)
| They each get a train conductor hat. |
| He painted all the snowmen... and Lexi helped him cut out the snowflakes! |
| I had to do a little fixing on this side. Originally he had painted the tree UPSIDE DOWN! We did our best to fix it and add the necessary stuff to make it still look pretty. (You can only tell now that I told you, and if you look by the trunk... you can see the yellow of the star!) |
| TRYING to get everyone lined up and ready to go on their "ride" around the school! (Braeden's friend, Carter is here in the front with his engine car!) |
| Mrs. Shorack blows the train whistle, and they're off! |
| Lexi just happened to be outside for recess when we were making our way over to the 3rd Grade area of the train ride... so we got a CUTE picture of our "matchy-foo-foos!" |
| It's so fun that they get to stop and see all the kids in the other grades! Everyone stops what they're doing to give them "hi-fives" and send them on their way! |
Ella was just happy to be there! She had such a good time seeing all the other Polar Express boxes, too! She really wanted to do one, ... BUT... I'm making her wait until she's in Kindergarten! ;o)
{This was all on (or about) 17 December, 2010.} |

Great train car Braeden. I love the pictures!
Love, Grandma Pam
I am dying at the pic of Ella asleep... that is the cutest thing ever. Good thing she had her backpack on- she'll be all ready to go when she wakes up!
Maybe Ella is trying to tell you something, like slow down and smell the roses (or take a nap).
Love, Mom
