Happy Love Day!

So... here we are at Lexi's Valentine celebration at school! I got to go volunteer for 1 1/2 hours at the end because Grandma Pam had arrived, we had taken Braeden to soccer, and had some time left! It was fun to see them, but I missed the passing out of valentines... Rats!
Here she is with 3 of her friends, Adison, Kaitlyn, and Allyson! (L toR)

And here are all the girls in her class. Not quite as bad of a ration as in Braeden's class, but still... 8 girls to 12 boys! Makes for a rowdy bunch. LtoR: Nadia, Adison, Kaitlyn, Lexi, Allyson, Aaliyah, Sarah, and Kylie.

And the ACTUAL day! Happy Valentine's! We had a sunny... not so warm, but sunny day. And we got to have a picnic out back with Gma Pam, Aunt Colleen, Uncle John, and Auntie Leslie! What a fun time! We were so happy to have them for the day. Lexi even made Leslie a valentine book. Illustrated it, and wrote it herself... and then decided to keep it. Silly girl!
Gma and Aunt Colleen helped Mommy frost a bunch of sugar cookies... mmmm... yummy!
And we did some outside work, too! We planted flowers, planted more flowers, and finally hung the punching bag...
Then Damian got out his gloves and let the kids have a WHACK at it! We decided that maybe boxing might be Braeden's new sport! J/K He can just get out some of his anger and frustration in the back yard!
I think Lexi's punching the wrong thing... what do you think?
Braeden... as you will notice a couple of times on this post... has a thing with concentration. He sticks out his tongue when he's working very hard. This is going to be a PROBLEM. He does it in soccer, too. We're very afraid that he's not going to have a tongue for very long!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! (Can you see the heart??)

And this is what we did after church and dinner last night. The kids had to stay home from church because they are still pretty sick, but they had a good time with Grandma! Then we played Hungry, Hungry Hippos! It was a little wild... to say the LEAST!

And Lexi FINALLY won! (With a little help!) She's counting them up in her little hands!
Ella doesn't really play fair...She collects with her fingers and then holds them hostage!Say CHEEEEEE-se!

Jordan always had his tongue out when he was concentrating. Maybe it's a sign of greatness.

All of my brothers also stick out their tongues when concentrating as well, so maybe its not such a sign of greatness. At least I can say we all still have our tongues.

Tandy- It is so great to hear from you guys. You have a very cute family. Your oldest daughter looks just like you. I kind of gave nick a hard time about starting a facebook account because he is so busy, but some good came out of it. We would think about you guys and wonder what you were doing and now with the blog we can keep in touch. It's great!

About Me

Crazy, stay-at-home mother of three; Alexa, Braeden, and Ella, and wife of Damian! We love life, although sometimes it's just hard to make it through one simple day. We all love each other... more than we can usually show or tell, and we love our friends and family very much! We LOVE the beach, having company, eating out (a rare treat now with three kids 8 and under), swimming, and playing outside!
