Lexi, Braeden, and Kaleb (Lexi's friend from school and church) "HELPED" by making a "Welcome Home" sign, and a "Welcome Home" chalk mural on the driveway... which quickly spread ALL over! Not just all over the house and sidewalk, but all over their BODIES, clothes, etc! You don't even want to know, but suffice it to say, they came in WITHOUT their clothes on, and quickly headed for the shower!!!!! I had to re-mop the kitchen floor, and even mop the GARAGE! Yep, it was pretty bad... but they had sooooo much fun!
We celebrated by going out to the Olive Garden for dinner and dessert! Yummy! I only wish I had taken my camera along! He HAD to sit in between Lexi and Braeden, and then Ella got out of her high-chair, went around the table, and made herself at home on his lap! So... at one point it was just me and my diaper bag on one side of the table! Lonely, huh??!! NOPE!! It was the sweetest thing! Ella giggled for a long time at him and was just so happy to see him that she almost forgot that she was sick, teething, and super ornery!
Since he's been home... well everyone's had the snuffies and a nasty cough! So, needless to say, he's been catching up on his zzzzz's! He was working some horrific hours in LA.
Today... Saturday, we finally did something fun! We had bought a kite... a big, dragon one, at Costco, and Lexi almost couldn't stand waiting to go fly it, so we packed it up, along with a bat, baseballs, glove, and a soccer ball and headed for the park! Well... NO WIND!!!!! So no kite flying. Then we tried the baseball and soccer thing... a TOTAL FLOP! Before we even knew what happened, Lexi and Braeden had already escaped to the playground! Sigh! It was fun to spend time with family... and friends that just happened to be there, too! We all came home very sandy!
Welcome HOME, Daddy! We'll enjoy having you for the next couple of months! We love you!

That weather makes me very envious.
Where is the chalk art?
Grandma Pam
I love watching how excited the kids are to see Jeff. He is on a 3 month rotation where we only see him 1/2 the month ( he is on call every other night and every other weekend), so the kids are missing him so much. Right now they are sleeping on either side of him on our bed. Too cute!
