Saving the World from Villains... (& other things!)

On the morning of Halloween... we had two soccer games! Gma Pam came the night before and was actually able to watch the kids play one game before the end of the season! Lexi did an awesome job as goalie... even though one got by her! She had 5 or 6 great saves before that! And she jammed her fingers doing so! Go, Lexi! She is still learning how to take it, suck it up, and move on!
Braeden wasn't feeling 100% this day... and it totally showed. Not one goal for him... and in fact, they got SMASHED! It was the first time of taking a dose of their own medicine! They just got WHOOPED! :(

Ella and Gma Pam enjoying the game... before the camera battery died!

And then... we celebrated John and Colleen's 60th birthdays. Colleen already had hers, and John's is coming up, but my mom wanted to celebrate with them, so she planned to get their children down here and surprise them, hang out, and enjoy each others' company! It worked! We got balloons, a helium tank, 18 cupcakes on a cupcake tower with all 60 candles on it, and lots of yummy food! We actually got all the cupcakes lighted, and man... it was ablaze in my kitchen! ;)
As you can see... we had a re-do on the picture thing. Because my camera didn't get the actual thing. I, of course, forgot to replace the battery after soccer. Sorry!

Lexi, Amberie, Sam, Braeden, Jody, and Leslie... enjoying the yummy cupcakes!

This is what Chris does while everyone else is working hard on carving pumpkins! :) He got it going a little bit one time... but I don't think Ella would have let him do it if she were awake!

Eeewwww! Pumpkin guts really do stink!

You have to get a little icky...

... but maybe this is taking it a little too far??!!?? Jody and Sam are 10 yr. olds at heart!

Braeden, as The Flash, is ready to race faster than lightning to get more candy... just what he needs, huh? NOT!

Ella as Super Girl, will NOT let go of her bag that already has candy in it from the Trunk-or-Treat!

Super kids!

Let's just say that Wonder Woman only came together because she had help from Gma Pam and Colleen! And even then she was literally held together with safety pins and staples! Ha! Not my best costume, but it worked for a few hours!

Are we going yet?

The gang! Only one villain here... Poison Ivy!
Tandy, Ella, Lexi, Braeden, Vinny as Batman, Alex as Robin, and Vicky as Poison Ivy!
Vicky looked much better than I! She had been working on her costume for a couple of weeks... and it totally shows! Even her makeup was perfect!

Ella and Alex in the gator!

The finished pumpkins! On the left is the one that Leslie carved for Ella... with a witch on a broom, in the middle is Lexi's... which she did a lot on her own..., and on the right... the one that Braeden gave up on and left for Sam to do!
Thanks to everyone who helped make the day a fun and successful Halloween! Love you all!

Oh, WoW! A family party on top of all the other big neighborhood and ward parties you'd already done. Whew! Now what?

About Me

Crazy, stay-at-home mother of three; Alexa, Braeden, and Ella, and wife of Damian! We love life, although sometimes it's just hard to make it through one simple day. We all love each other... more than we can usually show or tell, and we love our friends and family very much! We LOVE the beach, having company, eating out (a rare treat now with three kids 8 and under), swimming, and playing outside!
