Other Summer Fun at Gma Pam's

There are many things we like to do when we head home to Utah for a visit. And when Lexi's away with Caroline Ella and Braeden have such a good time! Haha! J/K They have a good time when she's there, too. She just missed this part of it all! Don't worry... she's with us for the rest of the fun! ;o)

One... yes ONE, of Ella's favorite things to do is give makeovers! Makeup, if you'll let her... which you shouldn't do... and hair, mostly... because this is, well... tolerable. Sometimes it hurts, but some of us can put up with it for a little while to make her happy! Gma Pam has become her favorite subject, next to me! Thanks, Mom, for giving my hair... and my head... a break!

Not to mention that she LOVES her "jersey"!  She has to wear it almost every day... even for just a little while!  (It's her SUU cheer leading dress-up.  It was actually Lexi's!)  Just getting started on Gma's hair...

... got a couple of barrettes in for the beautifying process...

... and it takes a SERIOUS amount of concentration!  If you don't know this about Ella and Braeden... they concentrate very hard with their tongues!  OUT!

Beautimus!  Ella does a fabulous job of adding style and color to anyone's regular drab hair!  Call her... she's for hire!  ;o)

This is where we have to mention that Braeden not only lost a tooth on the 4th of July by slamming into the punch bowl, but also lost one on the 5th... just because!  Sigh!  But isn't he cute!??!  He's got Gma's stick and staff... you must neither smile nor laugh!

Then Ella must have Gma's help in getting all her accessories organized and on her body.  These were my charms when I was little.  My mom kept almost everything!  And my kids have so much fun with all of it!  Brings back such fond memories every time I go home and watch the joy on the faces of my children who don't yet care that all the stuff is... well... old-ish!

Ella's other FAVORITE OUTFIT is her swimsuit.  She puts one on almost every day, too.  Yep... she changes clothes A LOT!  But it's needed for a quick dash through the sprinklers!  Braeden is pumping himself up for the cold surge that is coming!

Getting warm in the sun on the warm concrete... and apparently making water face prints.  Eewww.  Funny kids!

Close your eyes and just RUN!!

These two are worse than my 3 kids.  I CANNOT get them to BOTH look AT the camera at the SAME time and SMILE!!!  But this is usually better, anyway.  This is the real stuff!

Fences are for climbing, right??

And for lounging on!  

I know we do a lot of the same things, whether here at home, or elsewhere, but my kids still love the simple kind of fun... (well... at least for the most part)! Sprinklers, old toys, and hair... it's just simple, and still enjoyable. I do so dread the day that will come when the simplicity of a smile comes at a much larger cost (and I don't mean just monetary). DREAD!! But... one day at a time!
