Road Trip! {Part II} An Evening in San Fransisco

So the evening of the 7th we made our way from Sacramento to San Fransisco!  Our first thing was just to drive into town across the Golden Gate Bridge!!  But... the marine layer had already started to roll in and it wasn't as visible as we had hoped it would be.  Boo!
When we got into the city Damian had to sit in the car and be on a conference call for quite some time so he found a fun little playground for us to visit and play at during his time on the phone!  (He's the resident representative on a committee... I forget what it's called, but he had to apply and didn't think he would get it because of who he was up against, but... he DID!  Yay!)  It got a little chilly, but we had a great time, and for the most part, we were the only ones there!  So cute, too!
After the park we made our way to our hotel down by the Embarcadero, took a little walk, saw a movie set being taken down for the night, played in and around a strange water fountain, went down to the water, and then got dinner!
The kids were just so excited to be in a HOTEL!  We hardly ever stay in hotels, so when we do, it is like Christmas for them!  They love it!
This is a REALITY CHECK picture.  If you don't crop out all the STUFF and the construction zoning... this is how it really looks.  Hmmm...

That's a little better.  It really is magnificent!

The name of the park could use a little work, but...

...it was full of fun stuff, so what does the name matter.  Yet another example of, "never judge a book by its cover."
Ella LOVES these cars.  She has yet to ever get one at home.

Yep... monkey bars for our house apes!

I soooo remember doing this as a kid!  So much fun until I was a teenager and did it at a family reunion in Flagstaff... it was a SUPER giant swing and it SPUN and SPUN and I thought it would never stop.  I ended up laying under a table for the better part of the rest of the afternoon... totally sick to my stomach.  And now you won't catch me riding anything that spins... (well... hardly ever!)  {Remember that, Mom??!}

Love it!

Ready?  Set...

...SPIN!!!

And now it's Braeden's turn!

He went so fast he spun right OUT!  Haha!
Damian joined us for a little while before we moved on to the hotel!  WHERE'S ELLA!!??

He was going around the little playhouse opening all the windows as fast as she could run around inside and shut them... so... when he was done with that game, he decided to find her another way.  Lovely!

He huffed, and he puffed, and he chased her right out of that house!
Spider Swing!  We love doing this!  And Ella is our only one that is still small enough to do it with!

Checking out our hotel room at the Hyatt!  Lexi is testing out the comfiness of the bed!
And Ella has to check out all the bathroom stuff.

This is what it looks like inside.  Looking up from the lobby.

And another look at the lobby art!  Strange, but cool.
This is a very artistic water fountain!  Also... very strange, but FUN!  You can see the Embarcadero ferry station behind it.

And you could walk through/under the fountain!

And almost get thrown INto the fountain by your dad.

Can you still see them making their way around on the stepping stones??

Down by the water just past the ferry station.  It seems that some aliens have landed here, too!

And this is what they came in!  Haha!  See Damian and the kids??  And behind them is the Oakland Bay Bridge!

Another look at the Bay Bridge!

Lexi found giant flower baskets!  Of course!

Aren't they beautiful on their lamp posts?  Lining the water??  I think so!
WHEW!  All that running around makes for some SOUND sleepers!  ;o)

Vacation is exhausting!

I think my friend from high school works at that Hyatt! She's in hotel management. Small world!

About Me

Crazy, stay-at-home mother of three; Alexa, Braeden, and Ella, and wife of Damian! We love life, although sometimes it's just hard to make it through one simple day. We all love each other... more than we can usually show or tell, and we love our friends and family very much! We LOVE the beach, having company, eating out (a rare treat now with three kids 8 and under), swimming, and playing outside!
